Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit its worst level during his two terms in office, with more than six in 10 Americans disapproving of the president’s job performance.
Trump’s rating is at its worst on the cost of living and other economic issues since launching his deeply unpopular war against Iran in February, which has plunged the global economy into an oil crisis and sent gas prices rocketing to a four-year high.
Two-thirds of Americans now feel the country is headed in the wrong direction.
Should be 10 out of 10, since, objectively, he’s doing a very shitty job. Unless the “job” is doing the bidding of our enemies while enriching himself and his criminal family and in-laws.
Even the republidumbs who are displeased with the fact the shitgibbon’s policies are hurting them too will STILL vote for another Con the next election.
They aren’t redeemable. Stupid and hateful through and through. Pathetic.
Yeah, this unfortunately. The chudservatives will vote for him again but are unhappy about the economy and the fact that he is making things worse for everyone including them
I mean, what other choice do they have? The Democrats will bring back the DEI, the CRT, the BLM, the trans, and will be gunning to turn all the men gay or trans, burn the xtian bibles and forbid anyone from saying “merry xmas” because that’s the Democratic platform.
/s, obvs
WTF is wrong inside the brains of the other 4?

Conclusion: 4 in 10 Americans fit into these groups:
- Children who cannot be expected to have in depth understanding of politics yet
- Elderly people with Alzheimer’s who can no longer be expected to have in depth understanding of politics
- Donald Trump who has never and will never have an in depth understanding of anything.
1% are wealthy trust fund babies. They don’t understand why everybody has such a hard time.
A HUGE number of Americans are functionally illiterate.
Every time I’m reminded of this, it always depresses me. It’s 21%.
I didn’t think youth or infirmity are excuses either. Folks I know:
- 6yo: He is mean. Just share all the money!
- Intellectually impaired: I didn’t think I like him.

I think it’s important to distinguish between stupidity and ignorance. The problem is not that 40% of the country is stupid. Actual intelligence hasn’t changed all that much in a very long time. What has changed is the level, and kind, of education people receive.
The conservatives have spent the last 40 years fighting to destroy the American educational system. They have been terrifyingly successful. Funding has been cut to a fraction of what it was and the required curriculum has been turned into propaganda. Meanwhile, a society that used to view education as critical has been taught to view it with suspicion and ridicule. Parents no longer push their children to do well in school. Children believe that it will not be an important factor in the futures.
We also celebrate the virtues of willful ignorance. Choosing not to understand things is seen as bold and independent. Educated and considered opinions are not considered superior to any others, and are often viewed as inferior or less genuine. This has lead us to our current situation, where a clearly unqualified candidate was elected to lead the country because poorly educated people thought he was “one of them”. Several generations have not been taught any critical thinking skills, leaving them without the tools needed to evaluate their choices.
I am still hopeful that we can recover from our experiment with fascism, but it is going to take decades to fix the underlying problems, and that is only if the public can be convinced that they are problems and need fixing.
I agree with you on that, it’s also because of this https://youtu.be/mxnwz-_vVkQ

But, but… By doing absolutely nothing, the price of eggs went down. But by doing something, it made gas prices skyrocket.
I love asking these idiots what they think was so bad about about “the Biden economy”.
I keep hearing all the apparatchiks claim it was a so awful, etc. They just state it as some fact everyone accepts. And yes, dumbass redcaps do. But just try asking them what was so bad, and more importantly, precisely what Democratic/Biden policy caused this supposed awfulness.
You’ll get crickets.
The truth is the economy was on a good path by the time Biden left. But that’s always the pattern - the Republicans drive things into the ditch, and if the adults (in other words, the Democrats) don’t fix things nearly immediately, they get blamed for it and all the dumbass voters will put the cons back in again.
Yup. My mother-in-law will “what if” and “both sides” you to death.
I’ve lived in Red country all my life. People who are too proud to admit they need help. People too selfish to help others who need help.
I just saw a clip where Steve Scalise says we were “handed a disaster a year and a half ago”, LOL. He claims gas was almost $6 a gallon two years ago and 3-something now, ROTFLMAO.
This guy - and so many like him - are either severely delusional or think those watching them are. Thankfully, it was CNBC, so he got a (very mild) fact check on that load of horseshit.
Gas average right now is $4.54/gal, 2 years ago it was about $3.50 or so.
These people do bald-face lying about simple things like gas prices, no wonder they can get away with gigantic whoppers about “the economy”.
Basically no change in 10 years then.
I wonder how this compares to past presidents at this point in their terms.
