So weird that we now have to celebrate wins like…staying the course on sound, proven science.

FFS, this should be the bare minimum, but as long as America is captured by Confederate idiots, we are at risk at nearly every institutional norm being “disrupted” by these fucking morons.

I grew up in a deeply red area of the country, and at least back in the 80s, I don’t think I ever heard any parents ever taking issue with vaccines, or any kids.

Leave it to Covid, a whole lot of online dipshittery from wingnuts, and algorithms being run by billionaires to politicize even fucking vaccines, something proven to save the lives of children.

It’s a real shame - the Covid vaccine and the underlying tech is the modern-day equivalent of the Manhattan Project or the Space program and it will just never be fully appreciated for what it truly was (and is). Pearls before swine.

Other sponsor state Rep. Beth Lear gave us a comment, saying, “When states, including Ohio, began mandating untested and unproven mRNA shots as a condition of employment and education, I and many others around the state and nation awoke to the massive government overreach that was taking place.”

Ms. Lear, if you didn’t want the superior mRNA vaccine, you could have still gotten the NON-mRNA Johnson & Johnson old school viral vector vaccine and still met the vaccine mandate. Even today if you are still afraid of mRNA, you can get the modern Novavax NON-mRNA protein subunit vaccine. Now stop lying please.

I’m in Maine. Apparently since I am not under 12 or over 65, do not have a pre-existing qualifying illness, and did not get a prescription from a doctor, I am not eligible to receive a Covid booster. There might be one other requirement I am forgetting.

Tell them you have a common autoimmune disorder like psoriasis or anything qualifying. The pharmacy likely doesn’t care. Some won’t even ask.

There are a few things on that list that could get you what you need. It’s hard to disprove physical inactivity, and drug stores aren’t really in the interrogation business when it comes to vaccines.

Try a different pharmacy or chain. Walgreens only makes you say “yes, I have an eligible condition” and doesn’t make you say which one (from a long list, including mental health conditions, overweight or obesity, or current or former smoker–ever had a puff on a joint? you qualify)

Still need a doctor to give me a script. And this is the only pharmacy closer than 45 miles away. Have you done these things that you are advocating, or is this all theoretical knowledge and supposition?

The point is, you can tell a small lie to the lead pharmacist, and they’ll never know.

No. And don’t let Dewine fool you, he may fracture a bit, and maybe not actively pro-death like his collegues, but he’s still corked diarrhea of a human.

I’m not sure if you’re asking for examples that he’s terrible, but you can start with ohio’s gerrymandering, heartbeat bill, stance on same sex marriage, trans healthcare, the first energy scandal, the loosened concealed carry laws… Take your pick.

He’s not a complete woke warrior self centered fuck face like Desantis but that’s about the best I can say and not really the bar I expect from politicians to begin with.

            the first energy scandal

The biggest bribery scheme in state history and most people haven’t even heard about it. Paid off the lawmakers with a super majority to grant them state funds. Meanwhile after taking all that bailout money we still have random blackouts.

Like the staged photo op where they “drink” the water to show it’s not contaminated. And him and two others look like ghosts when the one actually drinks it and doesn’t just put it to his lips.

He’s not the worst Republican but everyone should be aware he’s basically the same as the rest, just with a dowdy grandpa demeanor.
