Attorney General Pam Bondi has been fired, a senior administration official and a source familiar with the matter told NBC News.

Donald Trump had grown “more and more frustrated”  with Bondi in recent days, a person familiar with White House deliberations said, adding that while he likes her as a person, he doesn’t think she has “executed on his vision” in the way that he wants.

According to a source familiar with the decision, Todd Blanche will be the acting attorney general, effective immediately.

      now prosecute her

You think that Trump’s new pick for the attorney general is going to prosecute the old attorney general?

Trump might not have much loyalty, but he’s not going to go after his own people like that. He knows if he does that, there’s a risk they’ll fully turn on him and spill all the secrets they know. If he just removes them from the spotlight and gives them a cushy job with no public exposure and no responsibility they’ll probably keep their mouths shut either out of loyalty or fear of what he might do to them otherwise.

Also, if there were a trial of Bondi, it wouldn’t be some satisfying thing where she actually takes responsibility for all the shit she did on behalf of Trump. There wouldn’t be any juicy revelations or exposure of her wrongdoing (or her coverups of his wrongdoing). Instead it would just be a show trial where the facts were whatever his team decided to make up.

Just look at what happens in other dictatorships when someone loses favour with the dictator. The result isn’t a fair trial where there’s an impartial hearing of the facts where the defence gets to use the discovery process to unearth and expose the previously secret communications. No, what happens is that the prosecutor rails against the defendant for all their failings, the defendant’s attorney offers only token resistance, and the judges go with the only outcome the dictator will accept. Normally it can be done in an afternoon.

Which is why they’ll ‘accident’ her before prosecuting her no doubt. She can’t be feeling very secure right now.

Hahaha all that bellowing about the Dow for nothing. 😂😂

I hope the British government holds her accountable for not releasing information about Andy’s behavior.

They’re all gonna get thrown under the bus. Every one of the Trump regime either knew and joined up anyway or deluded themselves into thinking they would be one to ride the wave, not drown in it.

      As was always the plan.

No one thought she was good, ever. She was always scape goat. Now we’ll see next 3 years of everything being blamed on her, Obama, Clinton and Biden.

Don’t celebrate. She did her part, and there’s little doubt she’ll be rewarded with an extremely well-paying job and a political future.

Eh, knowing Trump, the reward may stay a pipe dream. He’s like the least loyal tyrant ever, it’s baffling how anybody works for him expecting not to be eventually backstabbed or thrown under the bus.

More over, whoever follows her will undoubtedly be worse. Supposedly Bondi was fired over her handling of the Epstein files, which probably means she was supposed to just break all the laws surrounding evidence and just destroy as much of the stuff as possible.

Yeah she worked to hide Epstein and Co’s crimes as Florida’s attorney general for a decade and now the same as the head of the DOJ. She gets to take the fall for failing to release the documents and now we can move on to some other topic since they “solved” the problem (but obviously not really).

This is somewhat of a bigger deal than others (like Noem) because Trump has known Bondi since at least 2013. Most of the other people in Trump’s orbit have only been “friends” since his first administration, but he has known her for much longer.

    Todd Blanche:

In his personal capacity, he represented several figures associated with president Donald Trump and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, including Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort; the businessman Igor Fruman; and the attorney Boris Epshteyn.

In April 2023, prior to his arraignment, Trump hired Blanche to defend him in the District Attorney’s Office of New York County’s prosecution of the former president over concealed hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels. Blanche later defended him in the federal classified documents and election obstruction cases. He led Trump’s defense in his criminal trial.

In November 2024, following his victory in the 2024 presidential election, Trump named Blanche as his nominee for deputy attorney general. He was confirmed by the Senate in March 2025.

I don’t know why people celebrate this like it’s meaningful, they’re just playing musical chairs to frustrate process.

Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

It’s a revolving door of fascists. So don’t expect anything better. Most likely worse as things continue to devolve.

Imagine working for rapist Donald Trump knowing you’re going to get thrown under the bus and be a pariah for the rest of your life. Gotta be real stupid and/or evil.
