Donald Trump has insisted Iran must “open up the Strait of Trump” and complained about not winning the Nobel Peace Prize in a meandering speech at the Future Investment Initiative Institute summit in Miami, Florida.
This is getting bigger by the day.
Fuel shortages in SE Asia. This affects many industries the US gets products from.
China has suspended mineral shipments to the US and restricted fertilizer exports.
Russia is all but openly aiding Iran and likely instigating some of the actions.
Panic buying is happening in South America.
Diesel is over $10/gallon in some places.
Gas prices are hitting record highs in some places in the US.
And these effects are “rubber band” effects. They lag behind the actual impetus driving them.
This is going to get worse. A lot worse. These events are red flags. And if nation groups start taking sides over the conflict we are going to possibly see a far greater war and massive privation globally.
Isn’t the US a net exporter of oil? Why does this cause US gas prices to go up?

Trump has no Plan B.

The Strait of Hormuz is nothing like Trump. It’s a sphincter that can be opened and closed. Trump: always open.

This is completely incongruent with reality. Trump has lived his hyper-privileged life speaking the things he wants into existence, and that privilege has now reached its limit.
These are not the words of a sane person.
If he replaces any more words with his own name I think he can technically be considered a Pokémon.
I hadn’t thought of that, nor can I imagine many kids shouting “Trump, I choose you!” for any reason.
I would say that’s a national embarrassment, but his entire presidency has been.

I’m more shocked he said “excuse me, I’m so sorry” afterwards. Are we sure that’s the real Trump?
And then he pretended it was a mistake, and then claimed the “fake news media” would call it an accident, but that he doesn’t make accidents, and that it would be really big news if he did?

I’m more astonished that he admitted to making a mistake, and that he did so straight away.
He must be realising that his brain is failing him and that he can’t fake it any more.
I think that was deliberate. See, it wasn’t a mistake at all. He thought he was being cunning. “I can slip in calling it the strait of trump, and maybe it’ll catch on. I’ll cover for myself by pretending it was a mistake.”
But because he’s a narcissist, he just couldn’t refrain from following that up with “but actually I don’t have accidents. The fake news mainstream media will call it an accident. But if I did have an accident it would be big news”.
Like, his brain is so rotted it doesn’t even pick up on all those contradictions. He literally thinks he’s being clever…
He can only acknowledge making a mistake when he thinks it’s a lie intended to deceive people about something he did on purpose… the man is twisted…
