I’m sure the 40 or so manservants and the annual stipend from his brother would help ease his suffering. The poor guy.

“Exile” to a gigantic mansion on a sprawling estate, with a £100M annual stipend? Yeah, he’s really being punished. This is just a payoff from the crown, so he doesn’t go author some tell-all book that exposes the rest of the pedos. It’s hush money, plain and simple.

There’s no way he’s getting 100M pounds a year in stipend, the King doesn’t even have that kind of money privately accessible. King Charles has probably got a couple of billion dollars that he privately controls separately from the crown, but the vast majority of that is tied up in real estate and jewels, and while the real estate does generate some yearly income, it’s on the order of tens of millions. The jewels generate no revenue.

Now, that being said, Andrew is probably going to get north of a million dollars a year, so it’s not going to be anything like a pauper’s life. However, it may come with strings attached that keep him from showing his face in public, so it’s unlikely we’ll see him jet-setting around the world with that money. Most of it will likely be spent on having help, a maid and a cook and butler so he never needs to actually do anything. His own private retirement home/jail.

As punishment for his evil Andrew should be forced to eat all the jewels until he dies.

It’ll either increase or decrease their value once they yank them out of him but it’ll be fascinating to find out which.

Imagine being such a massive piece of shit child rapist that you get gifted a free mansion on the dime of tax payers.

why? because it’d be cruel to strip him of EVERYTHING and leave him homeless on the streets of London? oh heaven forbid.

The tax payers don’t pay for this. It’s the royals’ property.
So the tax payers hundreds of years ago paid for it.

How does it work with the royal family? Is that house theirs? Does that 100M come from their private holdings or is it all inextricably intertwined?

Our democratic process in the US has about as much power as the monarchy does in the UK.

In the UK they bring out an old white guy with a crown and all play make believe.

In the US we bring out an old white guy, vote, and make believe that what we did changed something.

Why? To prohibit him from spilling the beans! (Eg write a book). Charles just bought his silence. That’s all there is to it.

He is royalty so this was always the best outcome anyone could have hoped for short of tearing down the entire monarchy which i’m not against but the monarchy is heavily supported by much of the public.

It’s ok to be a pedo almost everywhere as long as you have achieved a specific status. I’m not aware of any currently existing government that applies their laws fairly to their leadership and relations there-of.

The more famous a Brit is the higher the odds they are a transphobe who diddles kids. At which point their fanbase starts to find ways to explain it away.
