Hey Americans this is more than a red flag. This is a dystopian nightmare future and you’re all sleepwalking right into it. WTF is wrong with you all?

you’re all sleepwalking right into it

This is what bothers me the most too. Decades of chest-thumping about liberty and freedom, and now this? It’s pathetic, really.

I mean, we fought a war based on a the premise that all men were created equal, then decided some men were only worth 3/5 of others…

The chest thumpers were propagandized that guns were a critical component of life and anything a liberal did was tyranny, while the rest of us were propagandized to think authorities are always legitimate, the system will produce justice if you just wait, and violence solves nothing.

But but this is different, it’s not like they’re trying to have us take a vaccine or something! It’s just rounding people up and grabbing people off the streets with little to no oversight. I mean sure have we already lost hundreds of people that we can’t account for? Sure, but it’s not like they’re making me get rid of my rolling coal dumbass truck or something important

Its honestly strange to see non US people who have bought the propaganda as much or more than some people in the US.

Yeah that’s what’s so strange, they act like we believe in the propaganda. It’s like they completely forget that a lot of us were fighting this battle 25 years ago and fucking lost. The people who were chest thumping now are the same ones who were chest thumping for authoritarianism 25 years ago. Any time I see some idiot European post “Americans, I thought you…” it’s a dead giveaway that their stupid ass didn’t pay attention to the post 2001 fall of democracy. This didn’t just happen overnight…

I don’t think many of us did, but we at least expected the average American to buy it, and yet it seems they didn’t.

Hey, I fucking hate this just as much as you do. I’ve voted and participated against these policies at every step of the way, but I am not wealthy or politically powerful, I live in a state where my vote is diluted at the national level (California, one of the states with the highest citizen to representative ratios), and when I try to explain these consequences and dangers, all I get in return is apathy.

      Edit: typo fixes

I stopped talking to most people I knew because getting “i don’t do politics” as a dead-end to every response is just disheartening.
