• All of the “hostages” are really prisoners of war, everyone currently in Hamas captivity was an active duty IDF soldier captured from military bases in Israel or taken captive while in Gaza as they were committing genocide.

• Hamas has offered to release all the hostages in exchange for a full ceasefire since October 11, 2023

• Israel is an illegal genocidal apartheid regime that’s committed to annexing and ethnically cleansing all Palestinian land, and as such will likely try to scuttle this peace deal and blame Hamas.

Not sure what the alternative is, Ukraine has run out of manpower and the ones that are left don’t want to keep fighting. We can dump all the money we have into the pit and it won’t solve the manpower issues, the only solution to that if Europe deports all the Ukranian refugees back to Ukraine to force them to fight or we send our own NATO troops in (WW3). And if this keeps going the way it’s been going millions are going to die and Putin will take all of Ukraine and not just parts of it that have been gone since 2014,

Fundamentally, elections were designed to be a peaceful alternative to the peasantry revolting against the government and beheading their king. As Americans come to grip with the reality that their elections are meaningless, their politicians are bought and their only alternative to fascism is fascism-lite with a pride pin (no trans ppl allowed though) this attitude will continue to fester.

Everybody agrees with supporting Ukraine including myself, the problem is that saying “maybe there should be a ceasefire and negotiated land swap” or “Ukraine should learn to live with Russia on their borders” triggers an extreme reaction in a lot of liberal centrists that just highlights the point in my original post 🤷‍♀️ Meanwhile Ukranians are being shoved into busses and forced to fight a losing war.

Supporting peace isn’t “Russian propaganda”, 78% of Ukranians want a negotiated end to the war. If you want to keep fighting Russia then send your own damn troops and quit forcing Ukranians to die over an inter-imperial pissing match that’s killed almost their entire fighting age male population.

Democrats are the furthest thing from “moderate”, they are on the extreme center. The idea that liberal centrism can’t be extremist is damaging. Supporting endless proxy warfare in Ukraine, genocide in Gaza and austerity at home are all irrational, extremist positions that the Democrats (and most liberal parties in other countries) believe in.

Either Eurovision boycotts Pissrael or we continue our boycott of Eurovision as we’ve done for the last 2 years. They had no hesitation in giving Russia the boot in 2022 so the fact its taken them 2 years is indefensible. The only difference is the religion and skin colour of the people being slaughtered.

Episode did a great job illustrating how all Jews aren’t to blame for Israel and how Israel’s genocide is making Jews around the world less safe, but doesn’t make the key point that the issue is with Israel/Zionism and if Netanyahoo went away tomorrow Israel would still be a genocidal, colonial apartheid state. Kamala Harris is why Trump won. She made it clear that she didn’t want the pro-Palestine movement’s votes and paid the price, that’s how democracy works.

What makes you think she would be any different from Trump on Palestine? Everything Trump is doing right now is a continuation of the Biden-Harris policy of letting Israel commit genocide with absolutely no pushback.

Whats even the point of democracy if politicians aren’t running to give people what they actually want and just point at the greater evil and say “I won’t do anything to improve your lives, but the other guy is really scary and bad!”. Can you even name a single Harris 2024 policy proposal off the top of your head?

The pro-Palestine movement is protesting against the Trump administration almost every day. Just because Democrats are one degree better doesn’t mean they get a pass for supporting the modern-day Holocaust for 16 months and handing the country on a silver platter to Trump.

Every Democrat who played a part in propping up the inanimate corpse of Biden and supported the genocide in 2024 need to be run out of politics and reminded of their miserable fucking FAILURE to stop fascism for the rest of their lives.
