One thing that I noticed today is my local npr does not feel as much like its bending over backwards for the sake of “balance” and saying it more like it is.

I guess that happens when you’re no longer beholden to government grants for your funding.

I’m kinda annoyed as hell with NPR over the past few years and yet also frustrated at the govt for defunding them.

Tell me more? They finally stop trying to sane-wash Trump after they realized he’s still going to defund them?

Feels that way. They were talking about charlie kirk and pointed out how inflamatory trumps remarks on it are and went into a lot about the bad things charlie kirk said. I feel like if this was before defunding it would have spent all its time on how no matter what its a bad thing and we gotta hear all sides.

Honestly way I’ve been listening to NPR it seems like they had gotten sick of things last Trump administration. I was shocked when you had a senator trying to fight the Green New Deal because “gonna stop cows” and the reporter kept pressing him for where that was until she read it outright to him. Of course the little gremlin couldn’t be bothered to answer after that but expecting anything out of the right is impossible.
