Two terrorists were neutralized, with a soldier among those who fired; victims were rushed to hospitals as police secured the scene and blocked access routes

Five people were killed and 11 others injured Monday in a shooting attack at a bus stop caught in traffic at the Ramot junction in Jerusalem. The terrorists, who opened fire on a bus on Line 62, were neutralized by an IDF soldier and an armed civilian who fired at them.

What a stark contrast in the language used here versus Israel’s daily slaughter of a bunch of captive, innocent civilians. Wonder why that is…

What the fuck did you expect, Israel? What the fuck did you actually expect? The only surprise is that this is such a rare occurrence. So long as you keep in place apartheid and occupation you will be dealing with violence. So long as you oppress and genocide people you will have to deal with shit exactly like this. There is no way that you would externalize violence completely without some of it coming back to hurt you.

And to fucking western apartheid enablers and Zionist apologists: see what the fuck you’re doing? This blood is on your hands too. Every time you cajole Israeli maximalism and Jewish supremacy, each time you enable the occupation and apartheid and genocide to continue you’re preparing the next random act of violence against Jewish civilians too.

This is your mess. You shit this bed, you clean this up. And have no fucking illusions: there is only one way out of this mess and it’s to finally get it drilled into your fucking heads that Palestinian lives matter. So long as you operate from a premise that they don’t, this is the shit you’ll be dealing with.

    EDIT:

Meanwhile, in Gaza: “6 more Palestinians, including 2 children, die of malnutrition”, while the BBC Middle East page has the following headlines:

    • Six killed by Palestinian gunmen at Jerusalem bus stop
    • Netanyahu vows to ‘catch everyone who helped’ attackers, after six killed in Jerusalem shooting
    • Palestinian prisoners not being given adequate food, Israel top court says
    • Thousands throng Jerusalem to press Netanyahu to make hostage release deal
    • Greta Thunberg’s Gaza flotilla arrives in Tunisia
    • Microsoft cloud services disrupted by Red Sea cable cuts
    • Hamas releases video of two Israeli hostages held in Gaza

5 Israelis dead, front and centre. 6 (more) Palestinians, including 2 kids? Got to go to the CBC and find the information in the body of the article. That’s what I mean. Palestinian lives don’t matter to apartheid enablers the same way Israeli lives matter. So long as that’s true, well what the fuck do you expect to happen?

Sad but not shocking, dont know what Bibi expected with the massive crackdown on Palestine other than further radicalism.

Just once, I’d like to see a world leader deal with an opposition force using overwhelming generosity instead of bombs, starvation, and terrorism.

Israel would have a much better chance at a lasting peace if they were dropping billions in food and medicine instead of bombs.

Israel killed 86 civilians yesterday alone.

I don’t condone these deaths either, it’s just some important context that mainstream media conveniently forgets.

If you don’t have a military, yes, that is how your country fights back. And, I’d argue that you’re foolish to think people won’t fight back if your country is enforcing a famine on another.

It’s been thoroughly and exhaustively documented by media outlets all over the planet.

Israel has openly declared that this is a war, and they’ve bombed civilians and civilian infrastructure as a matter of standard procedure. It’s unreasonable and silly to call this terrorism. It’s a counterattack. (A barbaric one, to be sure, but people without a military in the midst of a war and an occupation don’t have much choice.)

My heart goes out to the fallen and the wounded.
And fuck those terrorists. If hell exists, I hope they burn in it.
