Bull, and I cannot stress this enough, crap. Conservative ideology eschews objective truth in favor of beneficial positions every fucking time.

Nobody is “protected” from consequences of their speech. Free speech means we don’t have laws prohibiting speaking. It doesn’t mean you cannot be fired from your job, or people won’t call you a douchebag.

The problem is that the left gets people cancelled for hate speech. The right gets people cancelled for objective truth. Read the comments that people are getting fired for. It’s a blatant doouble standard that shifts the overton window on public discourse. Fascist bigots are running the country, and there’s no room for compromise with hate.

Exactly. We don’t know their motivations. If they are unhinged, and I don’t think the odds are against that possibility, then they shouldn’t have ever had access to firearms. If they were acting in self defense, then that’s a different problem entirely. The former is a threat to everyone. The latter is a threat to fascists.

I would argue that shooting a fascist is an act of self defense. My point stands.

Anybody who shoots someone in cold blood is not someone who should have access to firearms. Whether you want the person they killed dead or not, they are violent sociopaths and we need common sense restrictions to keep guns out of their hands.

Not one of those people ever did anything worth a damn. They produced no value, created nothing novel, built nothing, contributed nothing, or earned a fair wage for honest work. It’s tough to be an optimist these days. But like, at least they’ll flood first, right?

Any group sufficiently large will have some dipshits. The concern is how seriously they are taken. Nobody actually believed that Trump was dead just because pizza orders were active around the Pentagon, it was mostly wild speculation and macabre humor. You won’t ever silence all the morons, but if you maintain a healthy sense of skepticism and critical thinking, then there’s no reason to be embarrassed.

Let’s all take a step back and recognize that this is not a man making thoughtful decisions. He put drugs in ice cream for his granddaughters. His thought process isn’t likely to be anything we can fully comprehend.

Not a big mystery, really. Corruption and fascism.

Or, he was trying to drug them and the children found the drugs, so he tried to make them think it wasn’t him.

At the very least, we know he had the drugs, and we know he put them in the ice cream where they could have been consumed by his granddaughters.

They don’t have to win to win. They just have to keep you afraid, and prove they are willing to wring citizens through the legal machinery designed to break and bankrupt poor people.
