3·1 hour agothat’s what I’m saying, surveillance is the new normal, its trendy, opposition is being an “Extremist” and “Creepy”

7·8 hours agothat’s big issue but I’m referring to is the social stigma that these big tech companies and Hollywood have cultivated.
People automatically think ur too shady or paranoid if you even think about being private

Linux@lemmy.ml•Unexplained Hurdles when compiling the linux kernel for arm cpus
1·3 days agoif whatever it is compiled cleanly for ARM, someone else would have already built binaries.
that is true I did binaries that worked for me, I used them to test my hardware compatibility before building my own but I really didn’t trust these prepuilt binaries since they came from random Russian websites 😂
I get to the fusion360 installation window, when its halfway through it just crashes.
I use arch Linux with cinnamon de and openRC as my initsystem

Linux@lemmy.ml•Unexplained Hurdles when compiling the linux kernel for arm cpus
32·3 days agoI know I’m wrong for asking this question and being this vague, I was just trying to have a discussion on different possibilities on why this happened and if someone ran into a similar issue before and what was their solution / why it happened

I didn’t mention anything about people needing to use it.
I don’t have an issue with distros using systemd, my issue lies in how major distributions implemented systemd without other options, which created an environment where app developers have to build for the most common init system in mind, you don’t think that’s an issue? having apps only compatible with one init system like how some apps are only compatible with windows, that’s not libre, its still pushing users towards a specific obvious choice
