You might be right but the default for me is assuming these personas are all carefully crafted by their corporate handlers. We know Avril’s was even though it wasn’t known at the time. It seems like a requirement for someone to reach that level of pop stardom.
This needs to be modernized to something like Billie Eilish, the modern version of Avril Lavigne.
I’m too old for either but I think Billie Eilish is a bit more substantial?
