My wife loves them, and I just don’t get it. She also loves pugs/bulldogs.
But at least she recognizes the ethical issues with all of them and the only way we’d get one is if it was at the shelter (and I suffered massive brain damage and consented).
The fact that the cat was bred to have that deformity for aesthetics is horrendous, but that’s not the cat’s fault, so I still think it’s cute.

Edit: yes I understand it’s spelled wrong. I thought it was funny that the original creater used that spelling.
It saved them a pedantic comment from someone like me and I personally do appreciate the correction of a spelling mistake in an otherwise pretty good meme.
The original spelling could imply that dogs’ directed evolution also made them dumber

Pugs are cute and all but when you put them next to a wolf, they have a distinct Igor vibe.
