Preparing their rebranding to White Supremacy Journal.
*Propaganda. They willingly and knowingly spread propaganda - and they have the journalistic integrity of the comix page. Billionaire bought and paid for. Completely worthless.
MSNBC fired a reporter for calling Charlie Kirk divisive. I doubt the reporter who did this got so much as a slap on the wrist.
No, it wasn’t careless, they take a lot of care in spreading misinformation
They know that the lie goes around the world before the truth gets it’s shoes on. Alternately, The Liars Dividend to create even more confusion when confronted with the truth.
WSJ has long even before this abandoned even a mild claim to be called anything but a “propaganda rag”.
The sooner everyone else realizes the WSJ is basically FOX NEWS with a monocle, the better off the whole country will be.
Owned by the same company. Why would they have a different agenda?
To play Devil’s advocate, that isn’t a great argument in the system of capitalism. Two companies owned by the same patent corp can easily be imagined to cater to different audiences so to maximize profits of the parent corp by reaching more overall people.
Fair point. But I think the key is that newscorp is as much an ideological project as it is a business, so in this case it is true. While they’re designed to appeal to different audiences, they have the same agenda.

Related tangentially, but I was sad to see the older conservative kid won the fight (via settlement after losing in court) to control newscorp. I hope the other 3 kids who each got more than a billion for giving up their stake in the propaganda factory actually do something to help society. They won’t but I hope they do.
None of that family are decent people.
Don’t wait until the very last two paragraphs of the article to say why it was wrong, or your conclusion about it. Put that shit up top The Verge:
As we know now, the bullets actually did have messages on them. They included a furry meme (“Notices bulges OWO what’s this?”), the phrase “If you read this, you are gay lmao,” and a reference to the video game Helldivers 2. This seems more indicative of internet brain rot than any specific ideology. It’s confusing enough that at least some of the groypers (and also, apparently, Musk’s chatbot Grok) seem to think the shooter was a groyper, so make of that what you will. The Journal has pivoted into suggesting the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, was simply a troubled young man, despite other remarks from Cox. Cox said that one of Robinson’s relatives informed investigators that Robinson “had become more political in recent years.”
The Wall Street Journal has not retracted its report about the trans community, nor has it apologized. I guess it really is a Rupert Murdoch paper after all.
The fact that people keep reporting on what Grok “thinks” is really disturbing to me. Mind you, this is also the program that declared itself mecha-hitler, and as recently as a few days ago was confidently reporting that the video of Kirk getting shot was fake.
Yep, the author cross checking phrases with the furry community has way more weight and truth value for me than asking Grok.
Whaaaaat, You aren’t happy to witness dead internet theory become more real before your eyes. So surprising.
I for one will take my AI Slop and I will treat it as if it is a human like a good consumer. /s
There’s also this guy’s dig into the suspect’s social media:
Charlie Kirk suspect is a gun-loving Trump supporter
And this:
I mean, it’s WSJ. They aren’t exactly a monument to through journalism. I’m glad that some people that didn’t realize that previously are noticing, though. Do NYT next.
I called that the killer was a Groyper. I just knew it in my bones. I wouldn’t expect this to be their last hit either. Right-wing infighting is pretty fun to watch.
We know they are lying.
They know that they are lying.
They even know that we know they are lying.
We also know that they know we know they are lying.
They, of course, know that we certainly know they know we know they are lying.
Yet they still lie.
In Russia, the lie has become not just a moral category, but the pillar industry of this country.

In the U.S. the lie has become not just a moral category, but the pillar industry of this country. shrugs Must be all that money.

Fuck the WSJ (in my opinion)
Garbage media outlet only grifting for more money (imho)
