Looked like it went directly through the carotid at the lower neck / upper shoulder, I would guess the max height/distance of the projected blood stream out of his neck at about 2 feet, maybe more, stream lasted maybe 2 to 3 seconds.

… I went into a PTSD shock episode after watching it a few times, and haven’t seen any footage that… would indicate anyone immediately rushed into action.

So… being an actual paramedic… could you estimate how much actual blood loss this was?

This was an actual ‘geyser’ of blood, I dunno if there’s some kind proper term for that.

He was sitting upright, shot occurs, entire body and face went completely limp instantly, jaw slack, eyes wide open, head rolls back… as the uh… blood geyser is happening.

    EDIT:

    … nevermind.

    Kirk’s dead.

The NSFL picture was sudden, but it was all outwards and not filling cavities. You can fill a lung with blood and survive, just not always. The body goes into shock and tries to protect the major organs.

I can’t really estimate how much blood was lost there, maybe 50-100ccs in the short video? There’s a great exercise where you can pour 100ccs of fake blood out and show how much it spreads. I’ve seen really messy superficial stabbings that made it and ones where the blood pooled internally and they didn’t.
