Lol, the US isn’t democratic.
We weren’t democratic even before the fascist party took power.
It used to be a flawed democracy, now it’s a flawed dictatorship.
It’s “a democracy” in that the rich old white dude at the top gets swapped out every few years.
But any analysis of government policy vs what regular people want shows exactly no correlation. This isn’t even new. Sure it’s gotten even more egregious lately, but it has always been an oligarchy or plutocracy at best.
