Jaime Alanis died after sustaining injuries during raid where authorities say they arrested about 200 people

A farm worker died on Friday from injuries that he sustained a day earlier in raids on two California cannabis farm sites as US immigration authorities confirmed they arrested 200 workers after a tense standoff with authorities.

Jaime Alanis’s death was confirmed in a social media post by the United Farm Workers advocacy group. “We tragically can confirm that a farm worker has died of injuries they sustained as a result of yesterday’s immigration enforcement action,” the post read.

Why isn’t the farm owner under arrest? They claim they don’t hire illegal immigrants. So is Ice arresting and reporting legal temporary workers, legal American citizens, or is this employer just flouting the law?

if this whole thing were actually about stopping foreign illegal workers, it would be quite easy to just arrest the bosses of any company found to be using them. 1 year in jail and a $2000 for ever worker found to be without proper paperwork. Give the workers half the fine money and a bus ticket back with a warning and put them on a list. They probably deserve more for the abuse they had to tolerate so their American boss could make their money.

Again, if the intention is as we are being told. It’s harsh but fair for everyone involved.

Apparently, the farm owner is a former cop. A former cop who had been in a labor dispute with workers over overtime and missed wages

From a quick search looks like the owner is Graham Farrar, a former tech bro from Sonos. Where did you find that info?
