Yes, the way media writes about it is a huge part of their success. Even the media that nominally opposes them. It’s either “oh just another political option”, or “inhuman monsters of the far-right”. Either approach legitimizes them.

They reward increasing the number of people who are formally married, rather than the number of stable couples.
