Something was definitely broken in him, gives off huge Randall Flagg vibes. I bet he has quite a few skeletons tbh. It’s pretty rare to be that fucked up since you were little/born.

While great on paper, most of them were pretty young, not even adults yet. Make them do empathy and LGBTQ courses and community service with LGBTQ organizations- lots of it- and let them start with a clean slate. They seriously fucked up, but we should teach them how society is supposed to work.
The 25 year old definitely needs to be charged like the grown ass man he is. And have him stop hanging out with minors. And then also work with LGBTQ organizations/community service.
The CGs are fun! I liked playing Elite back when Void opals and Borann didn’t mean too much grind. Exploration with exobio can still net you money in a pinch, but it’s a bit less fun than core mining or wing laser mining with pirates and 400T+ in the cargo hold.
I miss the high stakes/high reward gameplay that made elite feel dangerous, when your miners needed lasers and sidewinder missiles. I’m hopeful that they will bring mining back that can make enough money to support carriers.
All that said, work towards the Corvette! It’s one of the best large ships in the game. Twin Class 4 plasma accelerators w/engineering, g5 dirty drag drives, and prismatic shields are insane. Put a multicannon on the bottom, two turretted lasers with thermal vent effects on top, and sidewinder racks on the side for long range interdictions. Having an AI pilot with a fixed laser taipan or fixed multi cannon F63 is insane for throwing power around too. Throw some SCBs on for the prismatics, and you can be in CZs or haz reses for a long time, safely.
You joke, but the Romans actually did that for extremely evil people that they worried might come back, Gannon-style.
In fact, they burned the body, slammed it with 41 nails, bent so nobody could get up, then sealed it with heavy bricks and mortar, highly unusual at the time (expensive) and buried far from town.
We played the fuck out of elite dangerous. Still do, sometimes. But during the pandemic when even the outdoors were largely shut down, and it was snowing sideways… I’m getting close to 1,100 hours too.
Damn, stole 7.7m, fined $35k and sentenced to 5 months in prison.

I want them to release the Epstein files, who gives a shit about bigfoot/UFOs?
Sex magic sounds fucking awesome. Does it include nude gardening?
It could just be waxed paper/waxed cardboard like the milk cartons of yore, but small. A lot of this stuff has been around long before plastics, and we got by just fine :)
Another W for wolves :3
Not OP, but we’ve had two, multi thousand dollar, high end gas stoves from different brands, and both have had fucked up igniters that constantly need to be cleaned, and in some cases replaced yearly. $300/yr in igniters for cooking breakfast and dinner on it. At one point, the oven broke, and the repairs took three actual months, which was insane. I’ve never had any problems with any stoves aside from these gas ones. Extraordinarily unreliable, especially when the igniters don’t work and you have to light them by hand.
We keep our range and stove in immaculate condition, and it’s still fucked up. It’s most likely our last one.
My gas stove hasn’t got a chip or board on it, which I appreciate.
You haven’t seen the new gas stoves yet. Touchscreens to control the burners. Brilliant, haha.
People are bored because their lives are easy. That will change soon.
Is reducing the accident rate even a realistic target?
Yes! I thought the same thing about my city, which has drivers who are profoundly lacking in critical skills such as looking both ways, basic logic and critical thinking.
Deaths have been falling. We’ve introduced rolling crosswalks and bike lights that flip green before the car lights do. We’ve added on demand beg buttons (crossing buttons) that turn the lights red for cars when you press them, or at least trigger very bright flashers.
We’ve also spent money adding concrete bulbs and islands that make crosswalks shorter and make choke points for cars, slowing cars down.
We’ve also added emergency portable red light cams and speed cams that immediately ticket you if you drive too fast. Some roads have been converted to one ways, bus lanes, or protected bike lanes. Buses have gotten ticketing cameras that auto-ticket people that drive in the bus lanes illegally.
Our state recently signed legislation reducing the speed limits severely and gave pedestrians right of way over cars.
It’s gotten traffic deaths (at the time of writing) down to 0 for pedestrians and bikes in 2025. Our city is still very carpilled. Most bike and bus lanes are still somewhat of an afterthought, with goofy decisions like a crossing at a red light in the middle of the street. But we are getting better after working on Vision Zero for a decade+. Your city can get there too.
In people’s defense, unless you are taking uni economics classes, you probably aren’t getting taught macro/micro + general economics, though it is interesting as hell imo.
Technically, our representatives should, in theory, be learning this stuff and protecting the average person so that civilians can focus on foresty/rocket science/ R&D/public health/business/infrastructure/etc.
That’s why representatives technically are supposed to exist. Nobody has time to learn the one and outs of everything needed to run an entire country smoothly. Especially complicated stuff, like public health, economics and trade, sewage systems, transit systems, and centralized grid planning. That shit is complicated AF.
