If he keeps his head down and looks like the sane one while Trump and Musk go full Nazi and he removes them from power, he’ll have an insanely high approval rating, even if he doesn’t roll back anything they did. He’d probably win the 2028 election in a landslide, and since he’d have served just under half of Trump’s term he’d be eligible for re-election in 2032.
The Praetorian Guard killed some emperors, but that isn’t an official duty of the Secret Service. Of course, it wasn’t an official duty of the Praetorian Guard either.
