You’re missing my point and I’m not sure if it’s because you refuse to accept it or you aren’t understanding what I’m writing, so I’ll throw a commonly accepted axiom out:

The trick is taking them away slowly enough that every new generation of workers doesn’t even know what they’re missing.

Like I told the (much less pleasant) other user, it’s no surprise that people are less brave than they’d like you to believe. That’s just… human nature.
