Thanks for that, it is interesting to hear your perspective. I can see why you don’t care for AOC especially about the Palestinian genocide. I think one thing that makes it hard for establishment Democratic candidates is that their party represents a wide range of interests and is not driven by single issues.
In the case of Palestine there are a lot of Democrats, particularly Jewish that are very supportive of Israel. Unfortunately politics is a numbers game and I think that is why it can seem so distasteful to those looking in.
When you are looking at losing 5% (wild figure pulled from my imagination) of your votes for outright condemning the massacre of Palestinians as opposed to gaining let’s say 15% for supporting Israel’s right to defend itself then as a politician you have to make a hard choice.
I think the choice should always be the morally correct one but most politicians on both sides do not operate like this.
Maybe some day you will be able to share it. Until then your just another person pointing fingers.
It is okay to be wrong, I know you are riding on a high right now. It is in a lot of ways bullshit though and you are also responsible for what has happened.
Thank you for that perspective. It is sad to see all that diligence being chipped away.
I think this is an fine opinion about both.
Fair enough, I am just looking for a conversation.
That is a poor point and allowing it to spread is the reality we are actually facing.
Case in point. Germany has been tightly controlling this for several decades. Is their society now overran by Nazi rhetoric? The answer is no.
Surely you see the difference between Democratic leadership and the masses that believe in some semblance of humanity. I swear your short-sighted goal of overthrowing the system has resulted in millions of Americans marching goose step and lining trans children up for the slaughter.
Own your part now or history will not look kindly upon you and your ilk. You are right, but also very wrong.
Once someone buys into Nazi rhetoric it can take decades to deprogram them. How do you suggest this to be done when it takes far shorter amount of time to spread their rhetoric?
More like an interesting parallel. Being a firebrand from the otherside.
When I was young there was a lot of counter culture going on rejecting the status quo. There were lots songs about our harsh reality and there were still prominent and popular figures who railed against the atrocities of the world. I was born poor enough to not buy into the rhetoric and disenfranchised enough to hate the privilege that I did have. Make no mistake though there are a lot of bootlickers my age though.
Genz didn’t even have these influences. They had Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate. We collectively failed them and offered them nothing but worship of money and power. They are a product of that reality, the end result of no one ever fixing anything. Being Sandwiched between the Boomers who I despise and these younger generations truly sucks and makes me doubt for our future.
I learned how technology worked on a level most don’t understand. I played with DOS, wrote my own software, and was there for the start of social media when it was about empowering the individual instead of control the masses. I left when I realized what it had become. Generations after me never had that perspective to see the truth and were manipulate into complacency.
probably prefer MTG?
Give the racist asshats an inch and they will take a mile.
Because they are dishonest deceivers. It is like blaming the guy running against the man that raped you for the rape. Then doubling down blaming the guy who did not rape you after you are raped a second time.
All mainstream news betrayed us. Please point out a major media outlet that is not a propaganda outlet for the wealthy.
I absolutely hate the man. My rule is to instantly turn off video or skip any article with him in it. At this point he is pretty much mainstream as well so he can take that bag all the way to hell.
NPR is okay, way better than most major media sources. I would not consider them mainstream.
I don’t feel sorry for them at all. All mainstream media can suck a bag of dicks and die at this point.
Great book by the way and while not completely predictive of what we are facing some things are spot on. The whole opposite ministry thing is really prevalent with our current administration. Also Newspeak really nailed how our language is evolving.
