Usually a lurker.
Maybe I should’ve just shut up and thought for a bit longer before writing that comment…
If you want to talk to me elsewhere, you know how to reach me.

I like that.
As I am not fond of english audiobooks (actually at all) as I am German and need to actively listen to anything I hear (podcasts, movies/shows, audiobooks or dramas) i am usually reliant on the offerings of my library.
Recently I ripped all my “Was ist Was” audiobooks (basically a science show made accessible for ~12 y/o) and really enjoyed those. But they are very specific to the german speaking domain which is already small in comparison to english in the piracy scene.
And I am part of some german sources.
Zotify and similar tools (not those youtube downloaders!)
Just a source. Not a metadata provider.
And trying to find metadata for books is like searching for a music cd from propular artists.
Example: https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/afca53c1-c5b3-3f91-8590-281b0aa12722
They are a beast in itself.
Multiple releases/revisions spread across languages and/or countries.
The metadata proxy that mirrors musicbrainz DB is broken (read: Imploded).
For now artist/album search is broken.
Dunno about metadata-tagging for existing entries
Doesnt categorize (if you wanna be specific: Only faces).
But it sure can search pictures by terms.
Last time with customer service I was actually satisfied. Same with 1&1. They were cooperative and reasonable (unlile Vodafone and Telekom from what I heard)
This sounds like issues with SPF, DMARC AND DKIM.
You mean you (or your clients) send email to gmx/web recipients and they arent even received/blocked?
Have you checked if your mail server IPs are on a blacklist?
Don’t have many problems with IONOS.
Our customers are usually recommended their S3 Object Storage (Very simple price structure)
I personally have the Business E-Mail due to it’s price.
It’s a bit limited and no DKIM but sufficient for most things.
Probably a case of hidden infrastructure.
I believe (no source) IONOS solely belongs to 1&1 AG of which ‘United Internet’ has a majority share (that I am sure of).
IONOS = Business focus. Primarily hosting and services
1&1 = End-Consumer focus. Primarily ISP and some other consumer services.
I would assume they count the infrastructure they provide for both 1&1 and IONOS.
Besides that they only have (I think) 2 DCs in Germany and 2 or 3 other locations in the EU and I think 1 in the US.
So in the end I would say it’s either Hetzner or OVH and then IONOS as having the most infrastructure.
Bro. Just try it with duplicate files.
You will find out if the pictures don’t load.
As for syncing: I heard some use syncthing for that.
My personal problem with it is, that I can never be sure it’s done with multi device usage as there is no feedback to tell me so.
I am using Obsidian.md both with a remote repository (built-in 1st party paid model) and a community plugin for another repository using remotely-save (which saves it to my personal onedrive folder).
Both options have an indicator that they are done saving.
But with remotely-save I encountered corruption when I turned on my pc which hadnt had connected in a longer time. And remotely-save is configured to stop syncing if >50% of files have been changed.
So now I am running a background task to zip the whole folder and purge the oldest one every week.
Typo
Focker Docker container in host mode is sufficient for most cases requiring bare deployment.
Hey, free housing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Running.
Not using.
Very important distinction!
Maybe the disk was running out of spare storage cells and ate into the actual data partition and corrupting the data table (if that’s even possible)
The ZFS is in my case just TrueNAS. Can’t trust myself setting that up :D
The computer fan with a 9V battery it is.
That and my trusty Jinbei house clothing
