You have to wonder which shipping mogul has Trumps ear on this.

When your reasons for dismissal is being a black woman, you have a pretty good case.
Generally that power is financial. The government can’t directly tell private institutions like NYU what to do.
But they can, and do, take away or withhold government funds for grants and research.
Buuuut … all that is held up right now. And if Trump has his way, that’s all gone regardless.
So I’m guessing this is a classic case of making decisions by the university based on old thinking.
Getting fired because you’re a woman, with reasoning that seems to boil down to “we don’t think a woman can do this job,” sounds like a pretty good case for a wrongful, discriminatory firing suit.
So the blue states don’t have a National Guard to respond?
