Start with the 128 Democrats who voted with Republicans to table an impeachment vote this week.
I look forward to hearing that Fetterman, Schumer and other spinless, feckless Democrats voted to confirm him.
That really irks me is we basically have two styles of headlines right now.
The newer sites like Rawstory, Mediaite, New Republic, Daily Beast, and Meidas Touch all use this bullshit style of headline writing.
Meanwhile the traditional media sane washes the man and is equally disconnected from reality, but in the other direction.
At this point I’m wondering if there really was a ceasefire.
Everything this guy says is a lie until proven otherwise.
If I were a betting man, it seems very likely he just made the whole thing up. Perhaps he pitched the idea and was turned down by either Israel or Iran (probably both). Went to social media to proclaim his victory. Leading both countries to attach each other to show the whole thing was bullshit.
Let’s not forget, he claimed he was the lynch pin behind the India and Pakistan ceasefire, only to have both sides say he wasn’t involved at all.
If this election was held in 2023, you have to wonder if the outcome would have been wildly different.
For once, an encouraging sign for sanity and common sense.
This, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with the Democratic Party.
If one of these folks is your rep, CALL their office and ask them why they voted to table the impeachment vote, and let them know you’re thinking seriously about not casting a vote for them the next time you have the opportunity.
IMO this is business as usual thinking.
The left needs to push for a vote to get Congress on the record where they stand.
And even if it doesn’t pass, getting some Republicans to vote yes would be a big win and a first step towards checking TACO.
Is this Trump’s equivalent of China’s “Final Warning”?
And I’m guessing more than a few of those wealthy folks are hiring migrants in their businesses (like Kid Rock).
It’s almost like hiring completely incompetent people to cabinet positions was a bad idea.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., denounced the incident on the Senate floor. “I just saw something that sickened my stomach. The manhandling of a United States Senator, we need immediate answers to what the hell went on,” he said.
Good to know old Chucky is still around. Haven’t heard a peep from him in a while.
Interesting timing, with 75 Democrats bowing to the GOP and voting against the party to “[express] gratitude to law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland.”
One could argue, those 75 Democrats are the epitome of the old, feckless, Republican-light lawmakers that should be facing primary opposition (which is why Hogg has been kicked out).
If one of your congressmen is on that list, give them a call and voice your displeasure.
So many folks have in Rockland, NY have signed affidavits saying they voted for an independent candidate for the US Senate, but the final tally from the county’s Board of Elections doesn’t mesh with what voters say they did.
While investigating, they uncovered hundreds of folks who voted for a Democrat for US Senate, but who didn’t vote for Harris (which is generally rare).
We’ll see where this shakes out, but there have been a few stories over the past several months that show some weird things like this with the election (Nevada election results statistically looking like foreign elections we know Russia meddled in, the recent questions about a software patch being rolled out at the last minute on voting machines).
Or NYC. Or Boston. Or Chicago.
TACO at it again!
Let’s see if they send National Guard to a red state. Keep going Dallas!
Many Democrats said party officers shouldn’t take sides in primaries, and Martin proposed requiring party leaders to remain neutral in them. Hogg had pitched a compromise, suggesting an internal “firewall” that would bar him from access to sensitive information in primaries his group, Leaders We Deserve, were involved with. But Martin rejected that deal.
“Party officers have one job: to be fair stewards of a process that invites every Democrat to the table — regardless of personal views or allegiances,” Martin said, urging Hogg to stay neutral.
IMO this is what it’s all about. They can talk about ‘procedure’ and ‘distractions,’ but at the end of the day Hogg has committed to running primary challengers against dead weight Democrats.
TACO Tom
Perhaps. Looks like both CNN and NBC News have “stories” on their front pages as well.
