Amnesty International warned on Monday that this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico risks becoming a “stage for repression”, urging FIFA and host nations to protect rights. FIFA said it aims to ensure all participants feel safe, included and free to exercise their rights.

      I want to believe but I think you’ll just see mildly lower attendance and all the issues being swept under the rug like the Olympics and the 2022 WC in Qatar.

        I’m lately having high anxiety about all the shit happening in the Untied States and I don’t even live there. My mind goes to extreme dramatic places and expects the world cup to be a shitshow. In reality, it will more likely end up being really boring. There might be a few cases of players being “mistakenly” detained by ICE but things will mostly go smoothly
