Switch to AdNauseam, a fork of uBO that actively attacks advertisers by messing up their click data (auto-clicks while blocking the loading of any further content)! Don’t just sit there with uBO doing nothing; fight back.

Meh, I have my Steam Deck docked to my TV and just launch LibreWolf and watch YouTube through that. Ad free, no subs.

Can’t wait for the Steam controller tomorrow!

Sadly, I can’t afford to spend ≥420€ for a dedicated streaming device, so looks like us poors are stuck either with a terrible experience of plugging in a laptop and usingouse and keyboard or tracking and from a Chromecast/smart TV/etc…

Oh sweet you have a laptop? Well there’s this thing called “Steam Big Picture Mode” that’ll give you a nice frontend to put GUI applications on!

Look there’s no good solution here, but there are tons of options, but some do have more cons than pros. For me I am trying my best to de-Google my life and some of their services are hard to beat or have huge obstacles in the name of privacy and convenience.

For me I refuse to use YouTube in any way that shows ads. And I refuse to give them any money. So my best options are to watch it on my phone or laptop and use a web browser with ublock or just download the video from YouTube and put it on my Plex server.

For someone like my FIL…he happily pays for YouTube so he doesn’t have to watch ads on his Smart TV. I can’t justify that cost but others can.

I hope you can find a solution that works for you.
