I mean, we have ding dongs saying these candidates won in spite of their moderate views.

Maybe the real lesson is there is no silver bullet across the nation?

To people downvoting- notice how no one really brought up that Fateh fell short to a “moderate” in MN. My point being what works well in one area isn’t going to automatically translate elsewhere and it’d probably be important to remember that. You can’t accomplish anything if you don’t have power to begin with.

Maybe trump and his whole cabinet shouldn’t have endorsed republicans voting for an independent Cuomo over a republican?

Like, everytime republicans endorse a neoliberal, we hear about it from Dem voters…

But trump endorsing Cuomo of all people broke a lot of MAGA’s remaining brain cells

Their base depends on Dems being all evil communists. Stick an actual socialist up there and some people are going to realize that Trump would have said everything he said about Mamdani, about Cuomo if he still had a D by his name. So maybe what trump says about Dems is bullshit. A few might even put it together that the Dems they hate are the ones like Cuomo who won’t help, and that trump’s still on their side against the rest of us.

It won’t be readily apparent, but trump blew his own foot off with this one.

He can’t keep a handle on the fringes, and the fringes were what was keeping the rest of maga voters in line.

We need to hammer on trump for endorsing Cuomo when they were just doing the WWF script a few years ago

Why in the fucks would you think republican voters are going to “realize” anything? Your comment almost makes me angry. It’s like saying “yeah, that nazi over there is going to get smart, soon, real soon…” Conservatives want anyone but themselves to either hurt or die. Orange blew nothing and not one fucking conservative changed their minds, stop acting like this is going to solve itself and people are “going to realize… blablah”, they give FUCKS about nothing but THEMSELVES. LIKE NAZIS. For fucks sake.

Why in the fucks would you think republican voters are going to “realize” anything

Because I grew up in a place that’s voted trump over 90% in the last three presidential elections…

Because I still live in a red state with people who got a red state education…

How often do you have to interact with them where your finger is so on the pulse better than everyone else despite you having no way to evaluate others experiences?

Seldom, because I avoid them (and, before you ask, yes; we have fucking MAGAs in my country, too, regardless of what you, or I, think of it). I guess I’m not allowed to have my opinion because I don’t live in a deep red shithole state, or what do you mean?

Are you sure you’re not American?

In the end it is about messaging. Always was but now more than ever with social media most people are voting on vibes. In New York they used it masterfully, laser focused on simple economic messaging without getting lost in the weeds. Kamala did the opposite, confused voters with wishy-washy messaging. People wanted change and she offered more Biden, if she had any kind of coherent message.

The election was stolen from her, so criticizing her performance feels disingenuous.

You think she ran a good campaign? It’s still partly Biden’s fault for not getting out sooner. Both of those things are on those two individuals.

Im not saying she ran a good campaign, but i do believe she won. There is too much evidence of cheating. Trump and Musk both publicly said they cheated, and the biggest smoking gun of all, is the fact that Trump “won” all the swings state by just enough margin to not trigger a recount. No president in histoey has ever been so popular to clinch all the swing states. Thats just too much fuckery.

Could Harris have run a better campaign? Absolutely. Does she deserve critisism for losing to Trump who cheated? Absokutely not.

Is had never occurred before, at least in an election without a true landslide candidate, that one side won every flipped county. Normally some counties always change in both directions, but in 2024 it was the first time ever in a close election that every single county that flipped went to the republicans, while the dems flipped zero. Mathematically that is beyond extremely unlikely to occur in any close election, as there are well over 3,000 counties and similar statistical areas. Yet allegedly it did in 2024

They might have temporarily flipped a right winger from Trump, but they can’t flip them from MAGA. They will blindly follow MTG into whatever mess she cooks up In 2028 If Trump fails

Pretty much everything we’ve seen indicates voters are more loyal to trump than to maga in general. What makes you think they’d follow MTG?

Her bet is running after he is gone, with the assumption that 2028 will be a business as usual election. Which also means she’s not in the “inner circle,” and she knows it.

I don’t really know what the MAGA mind falls for. It seems to be anything flashing.
