US President Donald Trump has unveiled renovations to the bathroom in the Lincoln Bedroom, as his remodelling of the White House continues.
Trump shared photos of the new bathroom on social media, saying it had been “renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era”.
He claimed the new black and white marble is “very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!”.
As much as I hate the man touching our landmarks and his horrendous “aesthetics”…
… are we jumping on the green tile bandwagon?!?
That’s a rough one to defend; right up there with carpeted bathrooms. Oof.
Trump’s veiny marble and gold fixtures is absolutely worse than green tile.
Aesthetic issues aside, that is objectively really shitty marble to have used. Quality marble looks basically the opposite of that and isnt so intensely veiny. This is like the cheapest marble you could find. It looks like temu marble pattern garbage
Much like everything else he’s had decorated.
