Independent Senator Bernie Sanders floated Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a potential presidential candidate in the 2028 elections, saying that even though it’s “her decision to make,” she is a “very, very good politician.”

Speaking to Axios, Sanders said that he has been “out on the streets with her” and noticed how she responds when people come up to her. “It’s so incredibly genuine and open.”

Ocasio-Cortez is seemingly positioning herself to run for higher office, whether it is challenging Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for his seat or to make a run for president.

What is the point of winning anything if you don’t have any policy convictions? What is the point of people participating in democracy if you’re constantly being told that the policies you need don’t matter, you just need to vote for the candidate with the most charisma?

Why even use Mamdani if all that matters is personal affect? Democrats don’t need to stretch the limits of the constitution to do that, they could just hire Paul Rudd or Jason Mamoa, put them in a suit and tie and shove them on stage at the convention.

When they have a proven track record of running for office, sure. Until then, no.

K so Schwarzenegger? You think Schwarzenegger would be ok?

What about Obama, if we’re entertaining ineligible candidates?

Zorahn doesnt even rank right now, but he’s your guy for no reason other than his charisma?
