Washington, D.C. – Democrats are gambling with a shutdown and misleading the public by calling their $1.5 trillion spending spree a “clean” counter proposal. It is nothing more than a dirty, Counterfeit Resolution that crams in partisan policy and extraneous provisions, while pushing the nation closer to crisis and risking FY26 appropriations progress. The American people deserve to know what is in this partisan grab bag.

    You could argue all writing is propaganda.

    All writing with political valence, sure.

    This is new territory for us and it is worth consideration.

    It’s relatively old territory. The trick is that during the War on Terror, the War on Drugs, and the Cold War, you had fewer people skeptical enough to question the Congressional narrative.

    A big part of that is the domestic nature of the allegations. Much easier to just make up some bullshit about Iraq or Vietnam or Korea than Chicago or Portland or LA.
