So we will get another stupid banner that will have to be on our screens but no one really cares about it. Just one more pop-up to dismiss surely that will solve the problem.

right? like we’re already visually bombarded with stupid signs, warnings, ads…it’s all useless now.

I’m accustomed to just ignoring anything that isn’t exactly what I’m after, and I blame corporations 100% for this. street signs hidden around 100s of ads, company slogans and more ads, company logos…it’s all disgusting, distracting and in all honesty dangerous.

you can never see the real important information because of the corpo trash that’s everywhere.

this is related to internet, and IRL things. half tempted to just buy an angle grinder to start chopping the clutter down. I won’t, but still…

I mean as a regular watcher of porn I think a reminder that they aren’t exactly realistic might be a good thing for a lot of people even if I don’t think this is necessarily effective.

The “for the children” arguments always seem to win out regardless of how big of nonsense it is because it automatically puts you at a disadvantage trying to argue against it.

warn children about social media’s documented health risks, which range from increased anxiety to body dysmorphia to sleep interruption.

No different than TV shows or magazine ads that do these same things. But there’s no warnings there.

I’d be more interested in warnings that you could see graphic images of violence, be subject to personal harassment, or interact with disturbingly insane people or pedos.

What TV shows you watching that aren’t started by “viewer discretion is advised”? You keeping it to the Disney channel only?

They tried that here with cigarettes, didn’t work. They just became like trading cards. “I’ll give you two teeth for a lung” kind of thing.
