    I hope she’s made the necessary arrangements to distribute the information she has in the event anything “unfortunate” happens to her, she’s painted quite a target on her back with these threats.

      Dead man’s switches for defensive blackmail are a common plot device in crime novels, but in real life, they’re vanishingly rare.

        Rare, but relatively easy to set up. Unfortunately they do incentivise those who want to see the information released to cause them to be triggered, so it’s something of a balancing act.
