As an American, I just visited our lovely neighbors to the North. Saw two separate crackheads light up right in plain view, and another who OD’d getting resuscitated on the sidewalk. Don’t go to Vancouver.

And in all honesty this comment reeks of exactly what right wingers say about visiting big cities in the US while consistently voting to make poverty and drug abuse worse. So excuse me if it rubs me the wrong fucking way to say “Don’t go to Vancouver” because you can’t handle the realities of poverty driven by late stage capitalism worldwide. Oh no people are struggling and need help. Grow a fucking pair, snowflake. Cry more about seeing other people suffering while you’re not.

To add to that, the US is almost certainly responsible for Canada’s opioid problem. Don’t blame Vancouver.
