142 yards is not a hard shot to make. I’m hitting every shot at 300 with an old Mosin, iron sights and surplus Belerus ammo from the 1980s. The guy was probably aiming for his head and got the neck instead. You hear all the time “had the bullet been a millimetre to the left it would have hit is carotid artery” or some other vital. Literally 10 hours of practice with the rifle and scope you’re hitting a head size target every time from that distance. If anything this person was poorly trained.
