    Step one for people not wanting to harm you Sam, is not doing things that makes people want to harm you.

    Being the poster child for costing as many people their jobs as possible was not going to be a popular move, you had to be able to see that coming. If that was not a forecast you could come up with, you probably aren’t qualified to be the CEO of a company.

      Tbf as much as I hate capitalism and as much as I am in favor of eating the rich (wink wink) the problem with AI is not that it exists or is being developed. AI like any automation is an incredible technological advancement. And any sort of automation is only a problem in a capitalist society

      Imagine being pissed at the inventor of the tractor (I know Sam Altman didn’t invent nor is actively developing AI. Many engineers and researchers are). Now less people need to do back breaking work for growing food. That’s incredible! We only lose jobs because the profits from automation are being funneled to a very small set of people

        I agree. I have to use AI at work and it does make my job easier most of the time, but it’s not a replacement for human thinking and criteria.

        I blame the uneducated and greedy MBAs for this fucking mess.
