‘Everything about this screams inhumane and unnecessary, and the cruelty is the point,’ U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said about the Alligator Alcatraz detention center in the Everglades.

This facility was temporarily closed when environmentalists sued and won, but reopened after they lost upon appeal.
