-Trump threatens secondary sanctions on Russia in 50 days

  • Says up to 17 Patriot batteries could be available 'very soon'

  • Russian markets rise, suggesting relief over delay

KYIV/WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump announced new weapons for Ukraine on Monday, and threatened sanctions on buyers of Russian exports unless Russia agrees a peace deal, a major policy shift brought on by frustration with Moscow’s ongoing attacks on its neighbor.

But Trump’s threat of sanctions came with a 50-day grace period, a move that was welcomed by investors in Russia where the rouble recovered from earlier losses and stock markets rose.

Is this dumbfuck finally catching on a decade late that Putin is not his, or our, friend or is this just more nonsense distraction from the fact that he definitely runs interference for pedophiles and may also actually be a pedophile?

    No he does not.

Also 50 days surprisingly matches with the end of a 60 day assault russkies announced 10 days ago.

And those investors have all reasons to expect that any sanctions/tariffs/whatever would be postponed even further after these 50 days.

Investors likely knew what was going to happen so they pulled out, bought the dip and profited.

Russia doesn’t give a shit about American sanctions. They have managed with the sanctions already imposed on them.

Russia may not, but many of the countries currently buying cheap oil from Russia will. If sanctions against India, China, Turkey, etc. result in them halting, or even lowering, payments to Russia then it has the desired effect.

Maybe he talked with some European leaders at the soccer thing. He doesn’t really have principles. Next time Putin gets trump in a room, he will likely flip flop again.

Reversal from what? He stance from the beginning was to keep military contractors happy by selling arms to Ukraine and keep Putin happy by not introducing new sanctions.
