Republican Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski said Tuesday that despite voting in favor of the sweeping tax and spending package, she wants the House to return the “One Big Beautiful Bill” to the Senate for further work.

“My hope is that the House is gonna look at this and recognize that we’re not there yet,” Murkowski told reporters today.

Murkowski’s vote was pivotal in the Senate’s razor-thin 51–50 passage of the bill. The Alaska senator had been the focus of intense lobbying by GOP leaders, including Senate Majority Leader John Thune, to secure her support amid concerns over Medicaid cuts and food assistance reductions. The bill now heads to the House, where its future remains uncertain.

Someone said she didn’t know that they removed the whaling tax exemption she had them add in. But like, she can’t be that dumb/unobservant, right?

So she was completely fine with everything else, it’s only because of one small exemption that she thinks people shouldn’t vote for it… riiiight.

To drive her point home, as penance, she should immolate herself on the steps of the US House. Until she does that, ignore her like the liar she is.

Is she going to try and pull off the triple lundy of cognitive dissonance? Feign disappointment in the House after they pass something she voted for and explicitly had a hand in the final language of? If this were a swimming competition the GOP would be checking for the gigantic cajones she must have. Always been far more impressed with her over collins (and ol’ mittens) in whatever you call that awful thing they do.
