At this point I think folks are falling back on familial and clan structures. Finding a job in my area has been hell since COVID, and if I hadnt already been living with my grandmother I would have ended up doing so regardless.
Outside of that yeah it’s probably homelessness in various forms, mind you someone with a hunting license living out of a camper van in Idaho looks quite a bit different from a drug addict in say Highland California.
