You couldn’t be more wrong. Drag is often about getting in touch with one’s feminine side, and many trans and nonbinary folks use drag as a vehicle to explore their identities. It’s very much an expression of an authentic self as much as it is entertainment.
Also, drag kings are very much a thing, exploring masculinity from a feminine starting point.
If it’s not for entertainment that’s fine, which I do point out, that it’s not universal. There’s no difference in my mind between dressing up as a caricature of a woman to entertain people than there is dressing up as a caricature of any other discriminated against class for entertainment. If a person simply wants to cross dress and it’s not done with outrageous makeup, cartoonish physical proportions, over the top generalizations of women more power to them but yes, lots of drag absolutely includes the things I mentioned and no it’s not ok to put on woman face and shuck and jive for entertainment
