    Aside from being horrific, the order is bizarre. He threw her down the stairs, then sprayed her with mace, then smashed her phone.

    Is this psychotic deescalation?

    I hope he doesn’t get away with it, by construing it as defense of his home or something. I don’t really understand how those self defense laws work in the US, hopefully my fears are unfounded.
