    God why is it so hard to see that this should be the opposite?

    If you are paying your way to a good education, it should be an indication that you couldnt effectively stand out among the masses.

    If you get into publicly funded schools, it should indicate that you are the communities best and brightest.

        I am obviously referring to colleges.

        Public colleges and public elementary schools both receive public education funds.

              Maybe next time you’ll be more clear when referring to a topic that is not the subject of the article you commented on. I actually assumed you were from the UK where public and private schools mean something closer to what you were saying but actually about secondary schools.
