The sudden, instantaneous centralization of almost all the major video news networks under this one dude is pretty transparent. The oligarchs know they now have a rubber stamp in office.

It’s strange to see some of the same faces and mouthpieces still at these networks from years ago. Do they know things have changed? Have they always been “in on it”? Or do they just not care/want the pay?

They probably went into reporting either for romantic sentiments or because they wanted to be on tv. And I think that’s still mostly true, the on location reporters tend to honestly report what’s happening in front of them

But as their career progresses and they get better gigs, they’re given more orders. You can sometimes see an on location reporter be taken aback and clam up when the anchor asks them a leading question, but by the time they’re doing interviews with political figures they’re given topics to hit or avoid and a tone

By the time they’re behind a desk, they apparently are just fired if they slightly deviate from the message these days

Yeah they’ve always been in on ‘it’ but ‘it’ just keeps getting bigger and further from the truth. A lot of little pushes from their boss and next thing you know they’re lying on air because they convinced themselves its the right thing to do
